Coordinators
MCCHE works to build equitable and collaborative spaces for educators to practice their craft, learn from one another and work toward expanding their personal and professional growth mindset. Our Executive Director brings over 35 years of experience lifting up social studies students and educators.

Mentors

Our mentor educators are the heart of our professional learning programs. Our mentors facilitate lesson demonstrations modeling culturally responsive teaching practices to support our program participants in delivering top-notch history and civic education instruction. In addition, our mentors lead monthly virtual Professional Learning Communities (PLC) allowing our participant educators to gather in a community of practice. Mentors facilitate book studies, provide practical hands-on strategies and partner with participants to support professional growth.

Scholars
Constitutional scholars, university professors and subject-matter experts contribute to the professional learning of MCCHE’s educator participants. Our program participants have the opportunity to closely investigate the founding of our nation by taking a deep dive into the historical significance of the American Revolution as well explore the evolution of our democratic principles over time. Scholars challenge program participants to examine their own experiences, explore learning and teaching methodologies and strive to implement culturally responsive teaching practices that best serve the needs of traditionally underserved populations.
